The 2 outstanding Pilot Sports that are seeing their way into the SuperCar circles are the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires, and also the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups.
Note: Many of the ultra performance type tires are not the run-flat type tires many are used to seeing on the Corvette. We have been told that many cars shipping from the factory without run-flats come with a kit which includes sealant. You might want to carry something similar yourself if you move to a tire without that technology. Always verify whether your new tires are run-flat. The technology is changing quickly. Michelin is doing much work with the PAX system, and both of these tires come with Michelins' "Self-Supporting Zero Pressure (ZP) Tire Limited Warranty", and it is not 100% clear what that entails, but between these TireRack and Michelin warranty pages it is spelled out fairly well.
A 2009 Corvette ZR1 wears P285/30R19 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP tires in the front and P335/25R20 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP tires in the rear. The Pratt & Miller Corvette C6RS also comes equipped with the Pilot Sport PS2s.Here are some sizes listed for the new ZP series (Pilot Sport PS2);
