Pratt & Miller is located in New Hudson, Michigan and they've been an official GM race team since 1999. They played a huge role in the development of the C5-R, as well as GM's Cadillac CTS-V race cars. They also work extensively with the GTO and GXP, and played a significant role with the Ford GT as well.

This rendition (or super designer style) of the Corvette C6 will be one of the very few we ever include, in these articles, that is in this league. The conversion itself cost around $185,000, and that does not include the purchase price of the Vette, which you must also purchase so they have something to do the conversion on. In the case of the C6RS, though, it is not hard to see where the added expenditure had come from.

With a Pratt Miller C6RS you will have a vehicle that is very rare and also a flat out bad ass in just about every category an enthusiast would appreciate, especially exclusivity. There will be quite a few tuners that can match, or better, the performance of the C6RS without changing out a bunch of stock parts that are as good as, though not as exclusive or exotic as, the ones Pratt & Miller will replace.

The Pratt Miller C6RS Corvette is basically a street legal C6.R race car, and is as much a piece of automotive art as it is a super finely tuned Vette.

Jay Leno added an E85-powered C6RS Corvette to his collection, and there is no denying it is a beauty indeed.

It is stated that the first C6RS off the assembly line was snapped up by Jim Miller, co-owner of Pratt and Miller, and it's a smokin' hot yellow convertible.

Following are the basics on the specs of this highly modified C6 known as the C6RS, and the list is extensive, so we'll try to just catch a few of the highlights, which will barely scratch the surface on the modifications that Pratt & Miller performs.

• The exterior now has an all carbon fiber body (including many of the other molded parts), exclusive black BBS center nut forged aluminum wheels at 18x11” in front and 19x13.6” in the rear.
• The interior basically gets an advanced sound deadening package (with about 80 lbs of Dynomat) and extensive resurfacing in leather, along with badging that is applied throughout the vehicle.
• The powertrain consists of a 8.2 Liter Katech Performance 600 hp engine (with a 500 ci Dart block), a blue printed tranny, a bunch of carbon fiber parts, a Corsa cat back exhaust, Dewitt aluminum radiator, and a few other things.
• The Suspension & Braking mods basically consist of massive brake sets (14" front disks & 13 1/2" rears, and Bremo 6 piston front calipers & 4 piston rears) , the suspension is tuned and lowered, a few more carbon fiber parts are added, along with pro installation all the way around.

The actual performance figures on this vehicle seem to be guarded, but at about 150 lbs lighter than the factory ZR1, and close to the same horsepower, there is no doubt this thing will flat out move!

You are paying for the name on the C6RS, that is for sure, but it is a name made famous by the folks who will make the one you buy. There are no shortcuts taken on the assembly of these units, and like we said before, it would be very hard to deny this as a fully functional and rare (25 units a year) work of art being highlighted with carbon fiber, which is an entrancing material indeed.
