This article is going to deal with the basic Chevrolet Corvette models and the major options or packages available to the new model buyer. We'll go through the models that are available at this time so we are all on the same page when we go into the details and modifications on these vehicles in future articles. We will also update changes as the Corvette evolves.
With the Corvette, all models include the hidden antenna, composite body panels (though more exotic Carbon Fiber on the upper models), fog lamps, tinted glass, daytime running lamps, xenon headlights, and power mirrors.

2008 Chevrolet (GM) Corvette Z06:
Pricing starts at about $ 73,000 US
We usually send our readers directly to the vendors so they can view the options and prices (in this case Chevrolet - Corvette), but we are giving the rough figures on the vehicle costs here since these are the starting point to everything we will be dealing with.
In this case with the $73,000 US Z06, if you nearly fully optioned this out it would run around $85,000 US. This is unlike the awesome Porsche where it is a breeze to add $50,000 US in options to the base price of a 911 for example.
Also, note that the Corvette is a popular vehicle and generally sells for the actual MSRP not including tax and delivery; where with most vehicles you would average well below that on your purchase. Initially though, the ZR1 is fetching a premium often well above the MSRP. So buying a Corvette is easy. If you pay around the sticker price on the window you are paying right about what other buyers are paying. Lastly, everyone should check Edmunds.com before approaching anyone to buy a new or used vehicle. They do huge research on automobile pricing.
Now, back to the Z06.
- 505-hp 7.0 Liter LS7 aluminum-block engine

Aluminum frame/magnesium engine cradle

2009 Chevrolet ZR1:
